Power BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop data-centric solutions utilizing Power BI, Power Platform, SharePoint, and O365 for governmental clients.

• Establish constraints in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

• Create and document project requirements.

• Identify, construct, and implement optimal technical solutions.

• Design, develop, and uphold Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.

• Acquire data from ServiceNow, SharePoint, O365, and various enterprise data sources.

• Tailor DoD365 to satisfy business needs.

• Link Power BI to ServiceNow through APIs, OData, connectors, or data exports.

• Utilize ServiceNow tables and data structures to formulate insightful analytics.

• Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators and developers on data feeds, views, and integration strategies.

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of business solutions, encompassing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and user support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; additional pertinent experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• An active Secret security clearance.

• Proficiency in architecting technical data and reporting solutions with comprehensive written and visual documentation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Expertise in utilizing Power BI for dashboards and data analytics.

• Experience in connecting Power BI to various data sources, particularly ServiceNow and SharePoint.

• Familiarity with designing data models and establishing relationships.

• Proficient in creating measures and calculations using DAX.

• Skilled in developing visually compelling and user-friendly dashboards and reports.

• Experience working with ServiceNow data and platforms, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB modules.

• Experience in extracting, transforming, and loading ServiceNow data into Power BI or other reporting tools.

• Background in collaborating with ServiceNow administrators and developers on integrations and data quality.

• Expertise in building dynamic and complex Power Apps and Power Automate Flows.

• Familiarity with agile and iterative software development methodologies.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and document requirements and solutions effectively.

• Capability to function efficiently in a government/DoD environment.

• Microsoft Power BI / Power Platform certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

• ServiceNow platform experience or certifications are advantageous but not required.
