Postdoctoral Medical Fellow – Digital Health, Clinical Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee research that evaluates, tests, and implements digital health technologies, including wearables, sensors, smartphone applications, and patient-reported outcomes.

• Prepare and submit scholarly manuscripts for publication.

• Perform statistical analyses on diverse real-world behavioral data and examine correlations with clinical outcomes.

• Create reusable and reproducible data analysis pipelines for quality metrics, features, and validated digital endpoints.

• Design and carry out validation studies to confirm the scientific validity, reliability, and clinical significance of digital health measures.

• Collaborate with teams in clinical development, biostatistics, data science, clinical operations, and regulatory affairs.

• Effectively communicate and present research findings through presentations and scientific reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. from an accredited institution must be obtained prior to the start date.

• A quantitative field such as biomedical engineering, statistics, computer science, electrical engineering, data science, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language; Python or R is preferred.

• Experience in writing reusable, version-controlled code using Git, along with well-documented programming practices.

• Demonstrated scientific experience in digital health research through publications, presentations, or successful project implementations.

• Strong foundation in applied data science, signal processing, time-series analysis, and machine learning/statistics, preferably within healthcare or clinical research.

• Significant experience in analyzing temporal health-related data from digital health applications, including wearable and smartphone sensors is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with frameworks for clinical outcome assessment and patient-centered measurement, including PRO, ClinRO, ObsRO, and PerfO.

• Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks pertinent to digital health technologies, such as FDA DHT/SaMD guidance, ICH E6 (GCP), and digital endpoint evidentiary standards is advantageous.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Capacity to work efficiently in a dynamic, collaborative, and cross-functional setting.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without restrictions.

• Willingness to undergo a drug test and post-offer physical examination if required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
