Portfolio Operating Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Facilitate onboarding and integration for various portfolio companies.

• Lead post-merger integration efforts within finance, IT, HR, and commercial sectors.

• Create integration playbooks, track synergies, and establish reporting processes.

• Assist in add-on integrations and onboarding for platform investments.

• Cultivate relationships with founders, boards, sponsors, and leadership of portfolio companies.

• Serve as the private equity firm's representative during founder discussions.

• Manage financial, HR, and systems-related initiatives in collaboration with subject matter experts.

• Aid in FP&A tasks, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring debt covenants.

• Identify, prioritize, and communicate operational risks and potential growth opportunities.

• Supervise interim finance and operations resources.

• Collaborate with portfolio leadership to identify and onboard permanent hires.

• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring accountability and successful delivery.

• Guide operational transformation projects aimed at enhancing EBITDA and fostering growth.

• Implement structured program management methodologies.

• Utilize ERP, CRM, and BI tools to enhance operations and reporting processes.

• Collaborate with deal teams on operational and financial capability assessments prior to the letter of intent (LOI).

• Contribute to operational and financial due diligence efforts.

• Roll out framework initiatives within the first 100 days.

• Coordinate the onboarding of general ledger (GL), CRM, and HR/payroll systems.

• Drive add-on integration and synergy realization within the first year.

• Establish repeatable processes and dashboards to ensure long-term success.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience with private equity portfolio companies, management consulting, or similar operational roles.

• Demonstrated success in leading M&A integrations, achieving synergy realization, and executing post-close strategies.

• Strong foundation in finance, encompassing FP&A, accounting, and capital structures.

• Proven experience in driving operational transformation and enhancing EBITDA.

• Experience in designing and implementing PMO playbooks.

• Comprehensive business acumen spanning finance, HR, technology, and operations.

• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and BI tools.

• Ability to coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams.

• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional demeanor, resilient, and skilled in navigating uncertainty.

• Degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

• Preference for candidates residing in the Eastern or Central time zones with convenient access to commercial air travel.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
