
Portfolio Manager – Gas Power Systems Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Oversee and manage the budget for the Systems Architecture Team at both the program and initiative levels, including engineering hours, Capex, and Opex.
• Direct the prioritization, funding planning, allocation, and approvals via R&D councils and governance entities.
• Coordinate resource planning alongside Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional partners.
• Assist in budget planning cycles and supervise budget assumptions.
• Monitor programs and initiatives, including milestones, budget adherence, risk mitigation, and compliance with governance.
• Keep portfolio data updated in RISE, Wave, and various program management tools.
• Organize and lead gate reviews and critical program assessments.
• Guide the implementation of changes stemming from programs and initiatives.
• Aid Product Managers in utilizing the Power Now tool and engaging in other operational tasks.
• Assist in the creation and development of business cases, ensuring oversight of assumptions, methodologies, and quality standards.
• Maintain the business case template and essential assumptions, including SIOP volume data.
• Collaborate with Finance to manage initiative costs and oversee financial reporting.
• Develop dashboards using Wave, RISE, and other tools.
• Facilitate Daily Management meetings and support L1 and L2 Management Operational Reviews (MOR) deep-dive sessions.
• Provide oversight for TRM and support alignment with the technology roadmap.
• Analyze portfolio KPIs, identify potential risks, recommend corrective measures, and communicate the status of the portfolio.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Systems Architecture Team and PM Operations and Engineering Operations.
• Relay portfolio and program updates to leadership, engineering, finance, and commercial stakeholders.
• Encourage stakeholders to adopt uniform processes, governance standards, and prioritization frameworks.
• Assist the Systems Architecture Team leader with strategic planning materials and leadership reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of experience in program management, product management, engineering operations, or a related area.
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-initiative portfolios.
• Experience in budget management, business case development, and financial planning processes, including Capex and Opex oversight.
• Ability to convey intricate program and portfolio information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in influencing stakeholders and fostering alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in utilizing data and program management tools to monitor performance, identify risks, and produce actionable insights.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Capability to work efficiently across multidisciplinary teams and influence peers without direct authority.
