This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the SEIT team in the daily execution of SEIT deliverables and serve as the deputy to the SEIT Senior Manager in their absence.

• Manage and operate the SEIT Center of Excellence, which includes standards, templates, governance artifacts, playbooks, and libraries of reusable artifacts.

• Develop and enhance a SEIT Foundation of Practice that incorporates program health metrics, KPIs, repeatable processes, and data-driven governance.

• Own and promote the Sapphire SEIT Concept of Operations throughout the Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Sustain lifecycle phases.

• Define and direct the Sapphire archetype roadmap, delivery strategies, dependencies, capability increments, backlog, and release priorities.

• Institutionalize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) workflows, requirements management, traceability, integration test automation, and digital thread artifacts.

• Advocate for integrated tool usage including Teamcenter/PLM, DOORS/Polarion, ADO/Jira, BORIS, Planner, and Power BI.

• Lead cross-functional integration planning and execution with Development Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Integration & Implementation (I&I), Program Integration Office (PIO), Deployment, and Business Change Management.

• Establish regular alignment meetings for schedules, risks, Change Control Boards (CCBs), and testing calendars.

• Create and present SEIT KPIs and health metrics to program leadership on a monthly basis.

• Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned, retrospectives, Communities of Practice, training, and educational sessions.

• Prepare and deliver milestone readiness documentation and technical status updates to senior leadership, review boards, and governance committees.

• Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent non-US qualifications directly related to the position.

• 12+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering, integration, and test leadership within aerospace, defense, or complex enterprise programs.

• 5+ years of experience in defining system requirements, architecture design, integration strategies, automated testing, and managing defects and configurations.

• 5+ years of experience leading diverse engineering teams and mid-level managers across multiple technical domains in large-scale system development.

• 5+ years of experience with PLM, MES, ERP integrations, middleware technologies, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and enterprise digital threads.

• 5+ years of experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)/SEIT tools that support requirements management, architecture modeling, test automation, and end-to-end traceability.

• 5+ years of analytical skills, strategic risk management, and quantitative assessment capabilities.

• 5+ years of experience in influencing, negotiation, and communication skills when engaging with senior leaders and stakeholders.

• 5+ years of collaboration with IT security, implementing compliance controls, and ensuring secure system verification.

• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required by the U.S. Government.

• Final U.S. Secret Clearance must be obtained post-start.

• U.S. Person status is required for export-control compliance.

• A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.

• Experience with aerospace or defense integrated systems programs is preferred.

• Familiarity with navigating DoD certification and regulatory compliance processes is preferred.

• Experience with Agile development frameworks and project management tools is preferred.

• Ability to lead agile transformation is preferred.
