IT Network System Engineer – LAN/WLAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Manage and configure LAN and WLAN systems at client sites

• Independently handle customer projects related to LAN/WLAN

• Ensure ongoing and reliable network performance

• Diagnose and resolve issues within network environments

• Conduct error analysis and root cause investigations in the network domain

• Serve as a second-level support contact for network inquiries

• Generate reports and maintain documentation for network setups

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist or a bachelor’s degree in computer science

• Several years of hands-on experience in professional network support

• Proficient knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI Layers 1-7

• Strong familiarity with Cisco Catalyst Series (9000 Series Switches and Catalyst WLAN Controller)

• Experience in measuring and simulating WLAN infrastructures is a plus

• Additional expertise in Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst/DNA Center, and Ruckus LAN/WLAN components is advantageous

• Understanding of Ansible, Python, and APIs related to network devices

• Basic familiarity with network management tools like Zabbix, Netbox, and openNMS

• Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) are preferred

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken

• German language skills are a plus
