Portfolio Development Manager – Regional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact between the central office and a specific group of large, regional U.S. offices.

• Collaborate in the development and execution of comprehensive Advancement strategies, encompassing church engagement, donor acquisition, and private fundraising.

• Direct donor acquisition efforts and brand enhancement strategies customized to the strengths and opportunities of local offices.

• Oversee cross-functional advancement projects from the strategic planning phase through to execution.

• Create project plans, timelines, and accountability frameworks.

• Offer strategic guidance and advisory assistance to designated offices.

• Monitor and assist offices in meeting quarterly indicators and annual fundraising targets.

• Work with the Communications Support Officer to identify local messaging and branding strengths and shortcomings.

• Allocate centralized development support for stewardship and the development needs of local offices.

• Advocate for and manage the implementation of significant national campaigns within assigned offices.

• Lead the preparation and execution of campaigns, coordinating donor outreach and mass marketing strategies, timelines, deliverables, and resources.

• Supervise team members, including overseeing work, approving timesheets and time off, tracking performance, setting objectives, and documenting performance issues.

• Serve as a spiritual leader for staff through prayer, devotionals, and promoting a Christian atmosphere.

• Provide training and support for the use of HubSpot, Dynamics, RENXT, and other CRM tools.

• Assist in portfolio analysis, goal setting, and opportunity prioritization.

• Mentor local fundraising personnel on sales methodologies, meeting scheduling, pitch preparation, and partner relationship management.

• Collaborate with Strategic Partnership Directors, Partnership Trust Impact Team, and Corporate and Foundations Team on donor and foundation proposals and reports.

• Promote cross-office learning and the sharing of best practices.

• Instruct on portfolio management, forecasting, donor strategy guides, and portfolio segmentation.

• Provide prospective leads based on wealth research and assist in lead cultivation.

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, including the development of major gift pipelines.

• 2+ years of direct supervisory experience, covering performance management, goal tracking, professional development, and team coaching.

• Strong project management abilities with a proven history of guiding projects from concept through implementation to completion.

• Results-oriented mindset with strategic insight and the ability to align plans and activities with overarching strategic goals.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster effective collaboration.

• Strong skills in people management.

• Excellent communication abilities and emotional intelligence.

• Familiarity with Raisers Edge NXT.

• Proficient in HubSpot.

• Competency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
