This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with the annual planning process at the end of the year.
• Oversee project coordination using Asana.
• Aid project finance personnel in their responsibilities.
• Manage ongoing internal communications among staff.
• Conduct after-action reviews and incorporate feedback received.
• Provide support to project and program leaders throughout the year.
• Ensure the proper procedures for project initiation and completion, including Asana project plans, budgeting, and communication strategies.
• Act as the primary contact for the organization regarding Asana.
• Address inquiries related to Asana and resolve any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with Operations and the Portfolio Team to maximize Asana's effectiveness.
• Facilitate annual and on-demand training sessions for staff on Asana.
• Potentially reinstate the Asana Advisory Council.
• Assist with the refresh of the Operating Model, particularly in relation to infrastructure tools and practices.
• Provide additional support for travel and physical security requirements.
• Establish safety and security protocols.
• Assist with travel arrangements and visa documentation.
• Revise existing tools and workflows.
• Undertake other duties as necessary.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
• Experience in field project work.
• Proficient in English.
• Personal experience living or working in Asia, Latin America/Caribbean, and/or Africa.
• Proven experience in conducting training sessions, workshops, or teaching.
• Knowledge of best practices in budget management.
• Experience coordinating projects, including direct use of Asana or similar project management tools.
• Background in managing complex travel arrangements, including large-scale travel or those with challenging security considerations.
• Strong written communication skills, capable of crafting clear, concise, and actionable internal communications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
• Proven versatility and integrity.
• Understanding of open source and open data culture across various cultural contexts.
• Enthusiastic about open source and open data initiatives.
• Prior experience in humanitarian, disaster resilience, and development sectors.
• Previous work or volunteer experience with HOT.
• Familiarity with OpenStreetMap tools, such as JOSM, iD, and QGIS.
• Experience in GIS and spatial data analysis, including remote sensing and imagery.
• Background in donor relations, including reporting and deliverable requirements.
• Proficiency in multiple languages.
• A university or college degree in a relevant field, or equivalent humanitarian-related experience is desirable.
• Full-Time Contractor position (32 hours per week).
• Contract duration of 4 months.
• Option for remote or global work arrangements.
