Policy Analyst – Junior/Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform research and analysis on policies, regulations, legislation, and programs.

• Evaluate the impacts of policies and operations.

• Assist in the creation of action plans and recommendations.

• Prepare decision papers, Policy and Legal Reviews, staffing packages, reports, briefings, and responses.

• Contribute to the activities of the DES Quality Assurance Program.

• Aid in the Disability Annual Report and fulfill Inspector General reporting obligations.

• Support the initiatives related to the Compensation and Benefits Handbook.

• Assist in scientific studies and related initiatives.

• Help address training needs.

• Facilitate communications and outreach efforts concerning policy matters.

• Assist in the establishment of business rules and case-policy requirements.

• Support policy requirements related to SCAADL.

• Provide assistance for potential program initiation contingent upon contract award.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a citizen of the United States.

• All tasks must be conducted within the United States.

• Must successfully complete and maintain relevant background checks and suitability standards.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust determination if necessary.

• Junior to mid-level professional experience in policy analysis, research, program analysis, healthcare, disability programs, federal programs, or a similar field.

• Capability to research and interpret policies, regulations, guidelines, and program requirements.

• Strong skills in analysis, research, writing, and communication.

• Proficient in developing professional reports, briefings, and analytical written products.

• Experience with Federal Government, DoD, VA, healthcare, or disability programs is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
