This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and analysis on intricate organizational, regulatory, and legal/policy matters associated with regulated professions and legislative developments.

• Create publications, reports, and recommendations intended for senior leadership.

• Analyze environmental trends, stakeholder feedback, and regulatory duties to modify and formulate policies.

• Offer strategic policy assistance, critical analysis, coordination, and expert guidance.

• Identify potential regulatory challenges and engage in federal/College meetings, committees, working groups, and task forces.

• Coordinate with individuals and departments to draft policies and address policy and regulatory challenges involving multiple stakeholders.

• Collaborate and consult with both internal and external stakeholders, including department heads, committees, the Board of Directors, and federal authorities.

• Draft background documents to support changes in policy and regulation.

• Develop and evaluate policies, frameworks, standards, directives, and guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with College standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in government relations initiatives.

• Conduct, write, and present environmental assessments.

• Foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders and manage consultations.

• Advise internal stakeholders on risks, issues, regulatory changes, operational processes, policies, and guidelines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual language requirement is non-imperative.

• A university degree (Master’s) in public policy, public administration, or a related discipline.

• 5 to 7 years of experience in research and analysis.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting legislation, regulations, and case law.

• Experience in planning, leading, coordinating, and/or facilitating multi-stage projects.

• Background in providing policy advice and recommendations on intricate subjects and issues within a regulatory framework.

• Proven experience in developing policies, professional standards, directives, and/or guidelines.

• Familiarity with and support for government relations activities.

• Knowledge of research methodologies and software tools for both qualitative and quantitative research analysis.

• Understanding of the immigration sector, relevant legislation, regulatory processes, and current policies in professional regulation.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent time management, organizational, decision-making, and prioritization skills.

• Capacity to work adaptively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while demonstrating initiative.

• Proficient interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship management abilities.

• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.

• The selected candidate will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
