PMO Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish, lead, and enhance the PMO function throughout the ACSS portfolio.

• Provide strategic guidance, governance, and oversight across a variety of programs and projects.

• Counsel executive leadership and Air Force clients on portfolio strategy, program health, performance, risks, and priorities.

• Create and present executive-level briefings and recommendations.

• Build, lead, and mentor program teams effectively.

• Collaborate with operations, engineering, cybersecurity, contracts, finance, and executive management.

• Evaluate and address program risks, dependencies, and operational challenges affecting cost, schedule, performance, or mission success.

• Establish and manage quality assurance, governance, and performance management processes.

• Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned, best practices, and performance insights.

• Implement automation, optimize processes, and enhance operational efficiency.

• Utilize SharePoint, RMT, Costpoint, and Fusion for program visibility, reporting, workflow management, service delivery, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• PMP certification is mandatory.

• At least 6-10 years of progressive program/project management experience.

• Experience in establishing and leading PMO functions, processes, and governance frameworks.

• Proven success in implementing process improvement and automation initiatives with measurable ROI.

• Experience managing teams across different geographical locations and facilitating virtual collaboration.

• Active Secret clearance is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

• Familiarity with USAF and DoD organizational structures, regulations, and directives.

• Experience supporting a PMO on large government contracts.

• Proficiency with software development tools and methodologies.
