Plumbing General Superintendent – Mechanical, Pipe, HVAC, Plumbing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead and direct onsite construction efforts as part of a cohesive and collaborative team.

• Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the assigned projects.

• Manage field responsibilities for medium to complex projects and/or multiple smaller project teams concurrently.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and uphold project schedules.

• Facilitate jobsite introductions and training for new hires and assign tasks accordingly.

• Conduct performance reviews for direct-report employees.

• Provide technical direction during the project bidding process upon request.

• Ensure adherence to quality-control standards and file Non-Conformance Reports for any deficiencies.

• Assist with purchasing take-offs and the procurement of project consumables.

• Review documents related to the project, contract, plans, and specifications.

• Attend project hand-off and close-out meetings to ensure a smooth transition.

• Enforce site-specific safety protocols, conduct weekly toolbox talks, complete MSAs, and file incident reports.

• Prepare two-week look-ahead schedules and document as well as communicate any delays.

• Identify opportunities for schedule acceleration and seek necessary approvals to proceed.

• Oversee deliveries, logistics, staging areas, materials, tools, and equipment management.

• Verify the correct installation of equipment.

• Utilize mobile apps, email, and current technology to monitor and disseminate project information.

• Maintain daily field logs, timesheets, receiving and manifest reports, weld reports, inspection reports, test reports, and as-built drawings.

• Assist the Project Manager with job-cost updates and monthly billing processes.

• Lead weekly meetings with foremen and subcontractors, monitoring their production and performance.

• Ensure that jobsites remain clean and organized.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience and a proven track record as a Senior Superintendent in a trade that Mullins self-performs, or in a similar role.

• Comprehensive understanding of safety, quality, and health guidelines for construction sites.

• In-depth knowledge of construction operations and processes.

• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project software.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Capability to communicate in a professional manner.

• Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.

• OSHA 30 certification is required.

• Previous experience managing multiple Superintendents is necessary.
