Plumbing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support for multiple ongoing capital projects with budgets ranging from $5M to $100M, particularly in the healthcare sector.

• Develop plumbing designs, perform calculations, and create estimates, reports, and specifications for building initiatives.

• Assist in plumbing design across several projects, prioritizing tasks as established.

• Execute site surveys to assess existing conditions.

• Help compile construction punch lists.

• Engage in project design and coordination meetings.

• Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate all necessary information into project specifications.

• Ensure the technical quality of engineering assignments on designated projects.

• Travel to client locations as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and/or CPD (Certified in Plumbing Design), and/or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in designing a variety of industrial, commercial, educational, institutional, and governmental facilities.

• Experience with healthcare facilities, military installations, government buildings, courthouses, research laboratories, central steam and chilled water plants, and/or correctional facilities is highly desirable.

• Proficient in Revit software.

• Required experience with sanitary, storm, domestic water, and natural gas plumbing systems.

• Familiarity with wet/dry/pre-action sprinklers and standpipes is an advantage.

• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.

• Progress towards obtaining PE licensure is preferred.

• Visa sponsorship or support is not available.

• Successful completion of a federal background check for security clearance is mandatory.
