This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.
• Create and implement plumbing system designs, which encompass domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, and gas piping.
• Utilize Revit to generate comprehensive plumbing construction documents and collaborate with various disciplines.
• Oversee design timelines, deadlines, and project deliverables.
• Choose plumbing fixtures and equipment based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Evaluate submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and change orders.
• Support on-site visits, inspections, and project documentation efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers.
• Offer technical assistance and mentorship to drafters and junior team members.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in plumbing design for commercial or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Expertise in Revit for plumbing system design and documentation.
• In-depth understanding of plumbing codes, industry standards, and best practices.
• Capability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities for effective team collaboration and client relations.
• Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Employment may necessitate successful completion of background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment processes.
• Preferred: experience with data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Preferred: knowledge of MEP coordination and integrated building systems.
• Preferred: ASPE or another pertinent industry certification.
• Preferred: experience in sustainable plumbing design, LEED, and water-efficient systems.
