PLM Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee extensive PLM transformation and Digital Continuity initiatives from the initial mobilization stage through to deployment, adoption, and stabilization.

• Act as a primary client-facing program leader for client sponsors, program owners, Capgemini leadership, and technology partners.

• Manage delivery governance, budget oversight, risk management, scope control, change governance, and the realization of value.

• Coordinate hybrid onshore–offshore teams with defined accountability, quality checkpoints, productivity management, and transparent transitions.

• Establish organization across integrated plans, dependencies, milestones, backlogs, burndown metrics, executive reporting, and decision-making forums.

• Facilitate advisory and delivery-led growth through inputs on opportunities, support for proposals, renewals, and expansion of follow-on programs.

• Integrate AI-enhanced PLM practices, including AI-accelerated delivery, AI-assisted migration and testing, software factory methodologies, and readiness for augmented engineering.

• Foster trust with clients and teams through effective communication, stakeholder awareness, and collaborative problem-solving.

• Exhibit client-centricity, delivery accountability, and practical judgment in navigating complex decisions, risks, and trade-offs.

• Maintain a delivery equilibrium by structuring discipline across scope, backlog, dependencies, primary and secondary tasks, burndown metrics, and reporting.

• Leverage delivery credibility to support renewal preparedness, growth of follow-on initiatives, and long-term client value.

• Lead with a mindset of end-to-end ownership across teams, geographical areas, partners, and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience managing intricate engineering, IT, or digital transformation programs, with a focus on PLM delivery.

• Experience at the Program Manager level with multi-site, cross-functional, or vendor-supported programs and client stakeholder responsibilities.

• Strong financial management skills related to budget tracking, forecasting, scope management, change control, and contractual obligations.

• Familiarity with major PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE, Aras, or similar solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to merge delivery management with advisory support, solution contributions, executive reporting, and enabling account growth.

• Experience in leading onshore–offshore delivery models across North America and global delivery sites.

• Background in engineering-intensive or regulated sectors like Aerospace & Defense, automotive, industrial manufacturing, energy, or medical technology.

• Certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, PLM platforms, or equivalent program leadership credentials.

• Experience in consulting or systems integration, including client delivery, coordination with vendor partners, and support for delivery-led account growth.

• Experience with multi-site PLM implementations, Digital Thread transformations, AI-driven delivery practices, augmented engineering, or platform modernization initiatives.
