PLM Program Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee extensive, multi-year PLM transformation and Digital Continuity initiatives from inception through implementation, adoption, and stabilization.

• Act as the executive-level liaison for client sponsors, program stakeholders, Capgemini leadership, and technology partners.

• Take ownership of delivery governance, financial performance, risk management, scope control, change governance, and value realization.

• Mobilize and manage blended teams across onshore and offshore locations with defined accountability, quality benchmarks, productivity controls, and transparent transitions.

• Establish structure across integrated plans, dependencies, milestones, backlog, burndown metrics, executive reporting, and decision-making forums.

• Promote advisory and delivery-led sales, including opportunity development, solution creation, proposals, renewals, and subsequent growth.

• Integrate AI-driven PLM practices, such as AI-enhanced delivery, AI-supported migration and testing, software factory methodologies, and augmented-engineering preparedness.

• Foster trust with clients and teams through genuine, adaptive communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to assess the environment.

• Exhibit executive presence, client focus, and a strategic viewpoint in complex decisions, risks, and trade-offs.

• Sustain delivery balance through rigorous structuring discipline encompassing scope, backlog, dependencies, primary and secondary tasks, burndown, and reporting.

• Transform delivery credibility into readiness for renewal, follow-on growth, and long-term client value.

• Lead with a One Capgemini approach, maintaining end-to-end ownership across teams, geographies, partners, and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years of experience in leading intricate engineering, IT, or digital transformation initiatives, including large-scale enterprise PLM delivery.

• Program Director-level experience managing multi-year, multi-site, multi-vendor programs with executive client accountability.

• Strong financial oversight encompassing budget, revenue, margin, forecasting, scope, change control, and contractual obligations.

• Familiarity with major PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE, Aras, or equivalent solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to integrate delivery leadership with advisory roles, pre-sales activities, solution development, executive value articulation, and account expansion.

• Experience managing onshore-offshore delivery models across North America and global delivery sites.

• Preferred: experience in Aerospace & Defense, automotive, industrial manufacturing, energy, or medical technology sectors.

• Preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, PLM platform certification, or similar program leadership certification.

• Preferred: leadership experience in Tier-1 consulting or systems integration, including executive advisory, vendor-partner delivery, and delivery-led account growth.

• Preferred: experience with multi-site PLM rollouts, Digital Thread transformation, AI-driven software factory delivery, augmented engineering, or agentic-ready platform strategy.
