Platform Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Receive and handle requests through Telegram, Slack, and email.

• Clarify the specifics of issues and collect details from users.

• Determine which component or service is involved in an incident.

• Manage incidents from detection to resolution comprehensively.

• Keep stakeholders informed throughout the incident resolution process.

• Conduct basic infrastructure troubleshooting related to logs, service status, and configurations.

• Carry out deterministic runbook actions such as restarting services and testing recovery.

• Escalate issues to L2/L3 DevOps and developers with the prepared context.

• Create tickets and bug reports in the tracking system.

• Collaborate on the development of runbooks and knowledge base entries for recurring issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with monitoring and logging systems.

• Ability to read and interpret logs (Grafana, Kibana, Loki).

• Basic skills in issue localization (network, DNS, service connectivity).

• Fundamental understanding of Kubernetes: kubectl logs, kubectl describe, kubectl get.

• Knowledge of application configuration: Helm values, ConfigMaps, environment variables.

• Infrastructure-level troubleshooting skills (service availability, node status, resources).

• Background in QA or technical support.

• Experience with Helm is advantageous.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

• Understanding of microservices architecture is beneficial.

• Willingness to work night shifts covering European hours.

• Candidates located near the EST timezone are preferred.
