This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Design and manage the platform that powers all aspects of Spacelift, encompassing CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
• Enhance the code delivery process by minimizing friction, streamlining feedback loops, and eradicating inconsistencies.
• Reinforce SLOs and observability to deliver improved signals for every team.
• Elevate the on-call experience through higher alert quality, quicker response times, and better postmortem practices.
• Optimize platform expenses and scaling behavior across various workloads and regions.
• Take charge of the internal developer experience, from local development to debugging in production.
• Engage in the on-call rotation.
• Continuously expand knowledge in the problem domain.
• Work closely with the team through open communication and shared responsibilities.
• Influence product decisions, experiments, and engineering advancements.
• A strong enthusiasm for developing products, a passion for technology, and a keen interest in DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience.
• Over 4 years of experience in backend or platform engineering, with practical experience managing production systems.
• Proficiency in Go programming.
• Experience in constructing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, or tools aimed at developers.
• Background in being on-call and enhancing on-call processes and their root causes.
• Familiarity with an IaC tool such as OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• A robust product-oriented mindset and an ability to think big-picture.
• A focus on addressing problems rather than merely completing tasks.
• Nice to have: Experience with Claude Code and Datadog.
• Nice to have: Experience in optimizing PostgreSQL/Aurora.
