Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Expand Share's infrastructure in response to the growth of its bandwidth marketplace.

• Design and enhance modern cloud-native infrastructure.

• Oversee Kubernetes, cloud architecture, containers, and virtualization.

• Sustain the APIs and DevOps practices that facilitate marketplace operations.

• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they develop into incidents.

• Collaborate closely with the systems engineer, network team, and software development teams.

• Take full ownership of systems issues from initial scoping to production deployment.

• Utilize operational insights to enhance the engineering department.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in systems/infrastructure engineering, demonstrating real ownership of large-scale infrastructure.

• A leadership mindset with a strong sense of accountability for outcomes.

• Extensive expertise in Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and debugging of production clusters.

• Strong background in cloud infrastructure, preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Knowledge and experience in networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), cost and capacity planning, and multi-region architecture.

• Experience with production Docker and container orchestration.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V.

• Proficient across the VM layer, containers, and orchestration.

• Significant experience in production API design and management.

• Experience with AI-native workflows, including the use of AI tools.

• Capability to scope, build, manage, and refine systems through to production.
