This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes/EKS clusters.
• Implement best practices for operations, scalability utilizing Karpenter and Spot Instances, resilience, and monitoring.
• Create and enhance engineering automation, including a service catalog and templates.
• Minimize the duration between code completion and production deployment.
• Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules for AWS provisioning.
• Advocate for immutable, version-controlled infrastructure managed via a GitOps workflow.
• Advance the CI/CD pipeline with continuous delivery through ArgoCD.
• Conduct safe, reversible, and observable deployments.
• Develop automations, internal tools, and applications to reduce operational toil.
• Convert manual infrastructure requests into self-service capabilities for teams.
• Set up and uphold monitoring and observability stacks for applications and databases.
• Establish cloud security and governance guardrails.
• Address infrastructure incidents, contributing to mitigation, response, and root cause analysis.
• Translate incident insights into platform enhancements.
• Author and evaluate infrastructure code.
• Perform code reviews and engage in pair programming.
• Document architectural decisions and infrastructure usage patterns.
• Collaborate with product, development, and InfoSec teams to align solutions and deliverables.
• Practical experience in implementing and managing Kubernetes clusters, ideally EKS.
• Proficiency with Helm, scaling, ingress/ALB, resource management, and troubleshooting Kubernetes.
• Experience utilizing AI in the development of automations and internal applications to support operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of AWS cloud services, particularly compute, networking, storage, IAM, and databases.
• Proven experience in implementing AWS infrastructure with Terraform and evolving reusable modules.
• Familiarity with implementing and managing databases, preferably PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• Background in creating and enhancing CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery with ArgoCD within a GitOps framework.
• Capability to develop automations, scripts, and applications in Python, Go, and Bash.
• Strong practices in version control and testing.
• Product-oriented mindset focusing on infrastructure usability and documentation.
• Understanding of the Twelve-Factor App methodology and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Knowledge of microservices and REST API architecture patterns.
• Ability to implement, define standards for, and utilize monitoring and observability services.
• Data- and metrics-driven approach to addressing performance and scalability challenges.
• Proactive in identifying infrastructure and database issues and proposing data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with engineering teams.
• AWS certification is advantageous.
• Experience with infrastructure as a product/Platform Engineering is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Backstage or another Internal Developer Portal is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies/FinOps is a plus.
