This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Set up, manage, and oversee cloud infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure for mission-critical applications, data services, and development environments.
β’ Provision and oversee compute resources, storage, virtual networking, DNS, and cloud service configurations.
β’ Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure application connectivity and address dependencies.
β’ Create and sustain reusable infrastructure as code and scripts for automated provisioning, configurations, and repeatable deployments.
β’ Assist with CI/CD pipelines and manage version-controlled changes, which include deployment testing, release validation, and rollback processes.
β’ Configure identity and access permissions, service identities, secrets management, and implement platform security controls.
β’ Keep monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerts updated for platform health, availability, capacity, performance, and resource consumption.
β’ Diagnose platform incidents and integration issues spanning infrastructure, networks, identities, and applications.
β’ Document root causes and execute corrective measures.
β’ Conduct platform updates, patching, and configuration reviews; facilitate vulnerability remediation and uphold configuration baselines.
β’ Ensure backup, recovery, and continuity processes are in place; verify restoration and failover capabilities.
β’ Convert platform requirements into actionable tasks in collaboration with engineering and mission stakeholders.
β’ Sustain architecture diagrams, configuration records, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
β’ Active Secret security clearance.
β’ Practical experience in configuring, operating, or supporting cloud environments in both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, covering compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
β’ Proficient understanding of Linux or Windows administration, including system configuration, services, logs, patching, and fundamental security practices.
β’ Experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or a similar scripting language to automate operational tasks and ensure consistent configurations.
β’ Knowledge of infrastructure as code and the capability to review, update, and troubleshoot reusable infrastructure definitions.
β’ Familiarity with source control and automated deployment workflows, which encompass testing, release validation, and rollback of infrastructure or application modifications.
β’ Understanding of IP networking, Domain Name System, routing, network access controls, and cloud service connectivity.
β’ Capability to analyze logs and monitoring data, troubleshoot infrastructure and access issues, and implement enhancements to platform reliability and performance.
β’ Proficient in working collaboratively with distributed engineering, cybersecurity, and mission teams, clearly communicating technical challenges, and maintaining accessible technical documentation.
β’ Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure automation tools for managing cloud resources across various environments.
β’ Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, or managed container services, including their deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting requirements.
β’ Experience in supporting federal mission environments or implementing DevSecOps practices in systems with established security and compliance criteria.
β’ Background in backup and recovery testing, capacity planning, or optimizing cloud resources and costs.
