This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Design, implement, and maintain both traditional and modern data infrastructures at the staff level.
• Integrate expertise in relational databases, cloud technologies, and big data to develop scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.
• Formulate strategies for enterprise-level data integration, ensuring data quality and optimized access across both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Create and deliver data models, pipelines, and warehouses utilizing SQL, Python, PySpark, and established RDBMS platforms.
• Design, construct, and enhance the capabilities of the enterprise data governance platform.
• Develop integrations across governance, data, analytics, AI, and operational platforms.
• Engineer capabilities for metadata, lineage, observability, and cataloging.
• Automate governance controls, workflows, policy enforcement, exception management, and the collection of audit evidence.
• Leverage AI, LLM, and agentic technologies to improve governance operations.
• Establish reliable engineering practices for AI-enabled governance, focusing on evaluation, quality measurement, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Provide secure and governed platform services that support analytics, AI agents, applications, and data products.
• Create tools for stewardship, manage workflows, report on governance coverage, develop operational dashboards, and implement scalability mechanisms.
• Collaborate with architecture, governance, analytics, engineering, cybersecurity, and vendor teams.
• Manage the lifecycle of platform capabilities from design and deployment through to monitoring, support, and ongoing enhancements.
• Expertise in SQL and traditional RDBMS, including Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data architecture and storage solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Python and PySpark.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools, including SSIS, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or R programming.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
• Knowledge of Product Management, Project Management, or Program Management philosophies and methodologies.
• Capability to apply management methodologies to data architecture projects.
• Ability to manage moderate to complex projects.
• Compliance with Intermountain policies and expectations, including confidentiality, information security, work schedules, conflicts of interest, and equipment requirements for remote or hybrid roles.
• Candidates must reside outside the excluded states: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington; Colorado eligibility is limited as outlined in the posting.
• Video interviews through Microsoft Teams are required, with the possibility of onsite interviews and meetings.
