Plan Consultant I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee deadlines and compliance requirements for a designated portfolio of business.

• Conduct and execute annual nondiscrimination and compliance testing, including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), and 401(a)(4).

• Compute employer contributions, encompassing match, pro-rata, integrated, and new comparability calculations.

• Generate contribution summaries and forecasts.

• Carry out self-employed income assessments.

• Detect and address late deposits and missed deferral responsibilities.

• Calculate corrections for missed deferrals and assist with corrective filings.

• Evaluate and upload incoming census data for thoroughness and precision.

• Reconcile discrepancies in participant contributions.

• Reconcile statements from recordkeepers.

• Import transactions from recordkeepers into compliance software.

• Prepare government filings, including Form 5500, Form 5558, Form 5330, and Form 8955-SSA.

• Offer technical and compliance assistance to internal teams and clients as necessary.

• Collaborate with actuaries and other departments to resolve technical issues affecting plan administration.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in the administration and compliance of qualified retirement plans.

• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities — you are at ease working with numbers consistently.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and a low tolerance for inaccuracies.

• Familiarity with ERISA regulations is advantageous — we are committed to enhancing your existing knowledge.
