This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate profitable relationships with business accounts.
• Enhance profitability from both existing and prospective accounts.
• Recognize business opportunities through knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services.
• Deliver sales presentations to current and potential clients.
• Articulate the advantages of the organization's products and services to fulfill client needs.
• Establish and sustain an effective referral network.
• Execute a call program to drive sales promotions.
• Seek out new business opportunities and oversee deals from strategy to closure.
• Manage sales pipeline activities, leads, tasks, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams to expand and retain the existing customer portfolio.
• Travel locally, regionally, and occasionally on a national level.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Seven to nine years or more of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel (both local and regional, with some national travel required).
• Previous experience in business card sales and payments.
• Proficient in sales and new business development, including prospecting new opportunities, consultative discovery, and driving deals from strategy to close.
• Experience with mid-size to large businesses, particularly those generating $10MM+ in annual revenue.
• Strong skills in credit analysis and financial assessment.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles relevant to financial transactions.
• Proven success in developing and utilizing Centers of Influence (COIs).
• Capable of managing pipeline activities with effective follow-up and execution discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of payment products.
• General knowledge of product marketing and organizational operations.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills, including negotiation, decision-making, and creative problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams to enhance and retain the existing customer portfolio.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Capability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as workplace conduct and safety policies.
• Compliance with relevant background-check and regulatory requirements, including those applicable under FINRA, NMLS, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, NFA, FCPA, Bank Secrecy Act, and SAFE Act.
