PKI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement and uphold enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services that support mission-critical federal systems.

• Establish and maintain PKI architecture in line with technical requirements and the guidance of the PKI Subject Matter Expert (SME).

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and/or Harness.

• Automate the provisioning and configuration of Windows and Linux infrastructure that underpins PKI.

• Manage containerized workloads with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and EKS.

• Oversee AWS infrastructure, including EC2 and RDS.

• Offer user support for certificate lifecycle management.

• Collaborate across application development, cloud infrastructure, identity, and security domains.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

• Capability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in PKI engineering, cybersecurity engineering, identity and access management (IAM), infrastructure/security engineering, or enterprise platform engineering.

• Familiarity with PKI platforms such as Entrust, Digicert, Venafi, or Let's Encrypt.

• Experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).

• Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS and/or Azure.

• Experience with Microsoft Certificate Services is a plus.

• Knowledge of PKI/certificate management products is advantageous.

• Understanding of PIV authentication and identity governance solutions is a plus.

• Experience supporting highly regulated environments, such as federal or public sector organizations, is beneficial.

• Relevant certifications in cloud, security, or architecture are advantageous.
