Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the solution design and execution for Hightouch's Identity Resolution product.

• Understand customers' data architectures and identify how Hightouch can achieve their objectives.

• Set up client deployments and troubleshoot issues utilizing real data.

• Provide guidance to data, marketing, and executive teams regarding long-term data strategies.

• Assist in configuring global identity frameworks and implementing identity resolution solutions.

• Collaborate with Sales Engineering on pre-sales opportunities.

• Partner with Customer Support Engineering and Technical Account Management for post-sales implementations.

• Act as the subject matter expert in data engineering and analytics throughout the customer lifecycle.

• Direct coding agents and enhance the repository of agent skills and best practices.

• Work backwards from customer use cases to develop IDR rules and data models.

• Evaluate the data landscape, maturity, feasibility, and identify gaps during pre-sales.

• Investigate identity discrepancies by writing SQL against customer warehouses and analyzing server logs.

• Clarify warehouse-native identity resolution behavior and outcome tables to customers.

• Recognize recurring product gaps and advocate for remedies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL, including experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.

• Awareness of query performance and data warehouse cost considerations.

• Capability to analyze identity graphs at scale and understand architectural trade-offs.

• Consultative communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Systematic debugging approach, which includes forming hypotheses, testing them, and documenting results.

• 2–4 years of experience in analytics engineering, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or implementation.

• Ideally, experience in data infrastructure, CDP, or B2B SaaS.

• E-Verify eligibility to work in the U.S. will be confirmed after hiring.

• Nice to have: experience with identity resolution, MDM, or CDP products.

• Nice to have: familiarity with graph data structures and entity resolution algorithms.

• Nice to have: experience with probabilistic matching or machine learning-based identity systems.

• Nice to have: background in data engineering or analytics engineering.

• Nice to have: comfort with customer-facing presentations and on-site meetings.
