Industrial Engineer – 1st Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess facility design and staffing needs based on operational activities, product types, product movement, and transportation methods.

• Create production time studies, analyze headcount, examine downtime, devise efficiency enhancement plans, and conduct warehouse slotting and SKU velocity studies.

• Identify bottlenecks and enhance processes across inbound, outbound, and inventory operations.

• Execute value stream mapping, implement process improvements, and standardize operations across various locations.

• Collaborate with pricing and solutions teams to provide operational cost data for RFPs.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop basic analytics for operational metrics.

• Partner with vendors to explore operational equipment and automation solutions.

• Create and oversee project plans for significant operational improvement initiatives.

• Assist Maintenance by compiling critical spare-parts lists and maintaining min/max trackers.

• Monitor daily profit and loss for the Finance department.

• Transform contract documents, proposals, and statements of work into work instructions and operational procedures.

• Submit ISO-compliant work instructions and standard operating procedure documents to the Quality Management System (QMS).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work or military experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience.

• Proficient with analytical tools such as flow charts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, run charts, etc.

• Experience with Microsoft Office.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

• Possession of a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport.

• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to TSA security protocols.

• Capability to travel domestically by road, rail, and air.

• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with BI software like Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio, etc. is preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Skill in creating comprehensive and detailed technical documentation, job aids, and procedure manuals.

• Competence in producing insightful, value-added research with thorough explanations regarding results drivers.

• Ability to produce clear, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations.

• May be required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test upon receiving a conditional offer.
