PIM Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery of intricate, large-scale PIM projects.

• Design and deploy advanced product information management solutions.

• Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and architects to address complex challenges.

• Propel digital transformation projects for well-known enterprise brands.

• Assume responsibility for projects within a distributed setting.

• Maintain effective communication with internal teams and client stakeholders.

• Advocate for and implement information security protocols, including acceptable use policies, malware protection, and password security.

• Identify, evaluate, and report on risks that could impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

• Assess how data is stored, processed, and transmitted to ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

• Safeguard data protection throughout the information lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least 3–5 years of practical experience in Akeneo PIM implementation and architecture.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant e-commerce experience within the last 5 years.

• Proven experience with AWS technologies, including Lambda, AppSync, and DynamoDB.

• Strong grasp of data architecture and best practices in PIM platform configuration.

• Demonstrated capability to design and architect scalable PIM solutions using Akeneo.

• Practical experience with REST and GraphQL APIs as well as third-party integrations.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight and mentor junior team members.

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation.

• Experience leading client discussions, gathering requirements, and managing stakeholder expectations.

• Active involvement in large-scale e-commerce platform development and optimization.

• PIM/MDM certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with enterprise eCommerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, or Adobe Commerce.

• Exposure to data management platforms including PIM, MDM, and DAM.
