Physics Expert – AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create sophisticated physics problems aimed at training and assessing frontier AI systems.

• Develop deterministic challenges that yield a single, correct solution.

• Produce comprehensive, validated solutions with clear documentation of the reasoning process.

• Formulate problems that evaluate deep physical reasoning and multi-step analytical skills, rather than mere memorization.

• When applicable, utilize Python or specialized tools to create simulations, models, or computational workflows.

• Ensure all outputs are technically accurate, reproducible, and articulated in well-written English.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related discipline.

• Extensive research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics.

• Proficient in Python, with familiarity in scientific libraries such as numpy, scipy, or equivalent.

• Strong grasp of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and multi-step problem-solving techniques.

• Capability to design original, challenging problems that mirror real-world physics workflows.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong technical writing capabilities in English.

• Preferred: Experience with simulation tools or domain-specific physics software (e.g., finite element analysis tools, circuit simulators, symbolic systems).

• Background in areas such as computational physics, statistical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, or related fields.

• Experience in evaluating model reasoning, benchmarking, or creating technical assessments.
