Physician Owner / President – Affiliated Medical Group

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Act as the sole or primary shareholder, director, and President of one or more professional corporations specific to each state.

• Provide clinical governance by endorsing clinical protocols, quality standards, and scope-of-practice policies for care delivered by nurse practitioners.

• Implement and sustain collaborative practice or supervision agreements with nurse practitioners as mandated by state regulations.

• Supervise credentialing, peer review, and clinical quality committees.

• Serve as or appoint a Medical Director for relevant programs.

• Approve clinical policies, standing orders, and care pathways.

• Maintain Medicare enrollment for the professional corporation and manage the reassignment of billing rights.

• Collaborate with the MSO to ensure compliant operations while retaining exclusive authority over clinical decisions.

• Engage in periodic governance meetings, audits, and respond to payer or regulatory inquiries as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in additional targeted states.

• Active, unrestricted DEA registration.

• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is preferred.

• Current Medicare enrollment or eligibility without any revocations, opt-outs, or payment suspensions.

• Clean compliance record: no OIG/SAM exclusions, no state board discipline, and no significant malpractice history.

• Experience in supervising NPs and/or serving as a Medical Director in post-acute, SNF, home health, telehealth, or value-based care environments.

• Comfort with friendly-PC arrangements, including stock transfer restrictions/succession agreements and MSO management structures.
