Physician, Concurrent Inpatient Review – PT Evenings/Weekends

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess hospitalizations nationwide by leveraging medical expertise as an advisor to client hospitals.

• Conduct concurrent clinical case evaluations and offer recommendations aimed at ensuring appropriate admission status.

• Apply clinical knowledge to pinpoint critical aspects within case assessments.

• Carry out focused real-time and post-discharge case reviews using the hospital’s EMR.

• Recognize areas for process enhancement and identify inefficiencies.

• Communicate with attending physicians at client hospitals through secure messaging, text, and possibly phone calls.

• May engage in special projects, focus groups, new Medical Director training, or organizational committees.

• Assist hospital clients by providing guidance to enhance compliance and secure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree.

• Active and unrestricted medical license in at least one state in the United States.

• Specialization in Adult Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, Nephrology, General Surgery, or Infectious Disease.

• Board certification is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year post-residency acute-care adult hospital experience in a US hospital within the last 5 years, or recent relevant experience as a physician advisor.

• Proficient working knowledge of hospital EMR systems.

• Competent in computer skills.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong team-player mindset.

• Capability to commit to a minimum of 18–25 hours per week on evening shifts.

• Availability to work the required schedule, potentially from Thursday through Saturday starting at 4 p.m. ET.

• Ability to perform computer-based tasks for 6–8 hours a day and remain seated for extended periods.

• Occasional ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
