This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough audits of provider documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, coding, and organizational standards.

• Provide personalized and group training sessions to providers focused on accurate documentation and coding practices.

• Evaluate audit results, compile summaries, and effectively communicate findings to both providers and leadership.

• Address payer audits by collecting documentation, analyzing findings, and collaborating on appropriate responses.

• Develop, revise, and sustain tip sheets, training resources, and educational programs tailored to specialties and providers.

• Work in tandem with compliance, revenue cycle, and clinical teams to identify trends, suggest corrective measures, and enhance documentation quality.

• Uphold the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of provider documentation through both prospective and retrospective medical record examinations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), or a Clinical Coding Specialist Physician (CCSP) certification from the American Health Information Management Association.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in professional fee coding/auditing.

• Proven advanced communication and interpersonal capabilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Capacity to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

• Ability to adjust to regulatory changes as needed.

• Commitment to adhering to organizational privacy and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.

• Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity are required.

• An Associate's degree is preferred.
