Photo and Video Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Organize, label, catalog, and upload photographic and video assets collected from field projects, site visits, and global partnerships.

• Review and refresh existing media libraries.

• Perform quality assurance checks on new uploads and media ingestion processes.

• Ensure that visual content is accurately categorized and easily accessible.

• Generate and arrange interview transcripts and associated materials.

• Assist with photo and video editing, color correction, and quality assurance of finalized materials.

• Collaborate with video editors, producers, graphic designers, and social media teams.

• Engage in creative brainstorming sessions focused on campaign objectives and organizational priorities.

• Shadow seasoned media professionals and contribute to ongoing projects.

• Report directly to the Manager of Photo/Video Production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Film, Communications, Media Production, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with or a keen interest in learning about Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.

• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

• Familiarity with Canva.

• Basic understanding of file formats, media encoding, and digital content workflows.

• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to take initiative, collaborate effectively, and follow guidance within a learning environment.

• Strong research and analytical capabilities.

• A cover letter is required.

• An up-to-date resume is required.

• A portfolio, reel, or examples of previous video/photo work are required.
