This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary contact for calls from patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers.
• Execute advanced administrative, operational, and customer support tasks.
• Assist in overcoming medication access challenges for medications managed by primary care.
• Perform reviews of medication lists and aid in formulary and cost-management requirements.
• Handle applications for the Patient Assistance Program.
• Facilitate screening and enrollment for the Low Income Subsidy.
• Provide education regarding the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan.
• Manage referrals following established workflows.
• Conduct outreach to patients and coordinate with clinics and providers.
• Record case activities and adhere to program guidelines.
• Execute medication adherence outreach, including auditing, documenting, and reporting for STAR measures as applicable.
• Assist in resolving prior authorization and medication access challenges.
• Participate in team meetings and offer insights on workflow improvements.
• Initiate and follow through on patient assistance programs, prior authorizations, formulary exceptions, or alternatives and tier reductions.
• Aid in medication packaging education, pharmacy transfers, third-party rejections, and override assistance.
• Process specific medication claim updates as requested by clinical pharmacists or providers.
• Keep records of outreach attempts, outcomes, and updates on case status.
• Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician Program.
• Active and unrestricted State Pharmacy Technician License in your state of residence.
• PTCB Certified with Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Certification or the ability to acquire MTM Certification within 60 days of the hire date.
• At least three (3) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Familiarity with the top 200 drugs.
• Comfortable working with or willing to learn electronic health record systems.
• Experience with Prior Authorization.
• Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management.
• A dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
• Self-sufficient internet service with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
