Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, investigate, and handle pharmacy prior authorization requests in accordance with established criteria, policies, regulatory standards, and service-level agreements.

• Investigate and address inquiries and escalations from members, providers, and pharmacies.

• Deliver precise information and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Record calls, authorization activities, inquiries, and resolutions diligently.

• Uphold compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and relevant program requirements.

• Act as a pharmacy subject matter expert.

• Assist in training new hires, ongoing education, coaching, and the development of pharmacy technician team members.

• Monitor quality and operational trends within the department.

• Identify opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with supervisors and leadership to achieve service, productivity, and quality objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Certified Pharmacy Technician credential (PTCB/CPhT, ExCPT, or equivalent) is mandatory.

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician.

• Experience is preferred in managed care, health insurance, PBM, pharmacy benefits, or a related healthcare setting.

• Proficiency in pharmacy prior authorizations, prescription claims, medication terminology, and support for members, providers, or pharmacies.

• Experience in training, coaching, mentoring, or serving as a subject matter expert is preferred.

• Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, computer, and organizational skills are essential.

• Capability to navigate multiple systems and work efficiently in a fast-paced remote setting.

• Must reside within the United States.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet is required.
