Pharmacy Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Vice President of Pharmacy and Lab Operations.

• Serve as a subject matter expert throughout the medication fulfillment workflow.

• Accurately and efficiently process new and refill prescriptions using e-Prescribing software and other internal tools.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to guarantee timely and proper medication shipment by reviewing and resolving gating tasks.

• Perform data entry duties, including prescription authoring, lab order generation, and internal tracking tasks.

• Investigate issues related to prescriptions and lab orders to identify and rectify errors or incomplete items.

• Manage relationships with pharmacy partners from the launch of new medications through ongoing quality review and demand forecasting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare operations role, preferably in pharmacy or lab operations at a telemedicine startup; highly motivated college graduates with relevant majors (e.g., pharmacy, chemistry, biology, etc.) are also encouraged to apply if they lack experience.

• Familiarity with pharmacy and/or lab software applications and prescribing/ordering workflows is a significant advantage.

• Understanding and appreciation of regulatory and legal requirements relevant to the telemedicine environment.

• Technically adept and quick to learn new software applications.

• Patient-centric mindset, prioritizing patient safety and wellbeing while understanding their needs.

• Proficient in professional communication with other healthcare providers and vendors.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Enjoys structured routines and processes in daily work.
