Pharmacy Consultant – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-level expertise in pharmacy programs for the National Employee Benefits group.

• Assist in new business initiatives and create pharmacy program solutions tailored for clients.

• Support the Rx Practice Leader and the National Employee Benefits team in driving new business opportunities.

• Collaborate with health benefit consultants to formulate client strategies, generate new business, and prepare client deliverables.

• Play a role in developing intellectual capital for significant pharmacy initiatives.

• Educate local consulting staff on pharmacy-related topics and pinpoint key sales opportunities.

• Conduct clinical assessments of formulary changes and new medications, developing client perspectives.

• Create training strategies to guide members towards cost-effective medication options, including specialty drugs.

• Share insights on pharmacy best practices, market trends, products, and services to innovate new tools and offerings.

• Stay updated on health industry and prescription drug cost developments.

• Ensure accurate and comprehensive information is maintained in the agency management system.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Pharmacy (R.Ph or Pharm.D.).

• A minimum of ten (10) years of recent relevant experience in a pharmacy benefit consulting firm or substantial experience in a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong clinical and analytical capabilities with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to present a clear viewpoint.

• Capacity to devise execution plans for large, complex projects, maintaining a broad perspective and enlisting other experts as needed.

• Proactive mindset and the ability to function without predefined protocols.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 15%.
