Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Consult with patients about medication usage and potential drug interactions.

• Reach out to physicians for authorization of new and/or transferred prescriptions.

• Work together with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications whenever feasible.

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians or other prescribers.

• Contact doctors and/or patients to confirm prescription details, including drug strength, prescription instructions, and medication name.

• Accelerate the processing of prescription orders.

• Monitor order status and any outstanding issues.

• Address customer inquiries regarding lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Adjust work priorities and tasks to meet business demands.

• Provide oversight and quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.

• Verify and confirm the legitimacy of controlled substances.

• Ensure the accuracy of prescription information entered by data entry or order entry.

• Serve as backup for other pharmacists as needed.

• Mentor and train less experienced pharmacists.

• Perform additional tasks assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.

• A PharmD is preferred.

• Current active resident pharmacist license in good standing is necessary.

• Must be a resident and hold a license in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, or Tennessee.

• Advanced problem-solving skills are essential.

• Ability to collaborate with other departments to address and resolve issues.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Capability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.

• A strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and precision.

• Ability to manage timelines effectively and meet tight client deadlines.

• Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume times.

• Commitment to specified training and future schedules is required.

• A cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed for remote work is essential.
