Medical Information Specialist – Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Address unsolicited inquiries from consumers, healthcare professionals, and external customers regarding medical and safety information through various channels, including telephone, email, letters, faxes, and scientific meetings on behalf of pharmaceutical clients.

• Deliver labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information responses in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and the policies of both the client and ProPharma.

• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy cases, special situations, and product complaints following governmental regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and client-specific practices.

• Complete assigned tasks within the timelines established in ProPharma's SOPs and Working Practices.

• Generate precise responses utilizing approved labeling, standard replies, published literature, and other relevant data.

• Assist in drafting custom medical information responses.

• Accurately, comprehensively, and promptly log inquiries in the inquiry handling systems.

• Conduct quality checks on adverse events, product quality complaints, correspondence, and inquiries.

• Provide after-hours coverage on a rotational basis as necessary.

• Comply with country-specific privacy policies and data protection regulations.

• Follow company health and safety policies.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Pharmacy.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading, professional telephone etiquette, and empathetic customer service abilities.

• Proficiency in writing fluently and grammatically correctly in the target language relevant to the role.

• Proficient in the English language.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.

• Strong cognitive skills, including verbal reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to multitask with keen attention to detail while adhering to tight deadlines, demonstrating effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.

• Proactive approach with a proven capability to independently identify issues and propose viable solutions.

• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and implement them in daily operations and tasks.

• Open to constructive feedback and accountable for assigned work.

• Self-motivated with the ability to display initiative and a strong internal drive.

• Eagerness to take on additional workload projects.

• Capability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office software and Adobe Acrobat.

• Experience with document management systems.

• Ability to learn and adapt to other computer systems, including an inquiry handling database.
