Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Enter, verify, and process prescription orders for medications specifically aimed at treating renal disease.

• Confirm physician orders through the pharmacy information system, ensuring the drug and dosage align with the patient's condition while addressing automated alerts.

• Input and validate medication orders in the client facility's pharmacy information system using emulation capabilities.

• Prioritize orders according to their queue time and/or order status, including urgent STAT orders.

• Adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the State Board of Pharmacy, Remote Pharmacy Services policies, and client facility guidelines.

• Maintain professional communication with colleagues, patients, and healthcare providers.

• Carry out clarifications and interventions, offer drug information, and ensure that consults are thorough and accurate.

• Handle incoming telephone calls and manage referral communications.

• Support the training and education of new team members and existing staff as required or assigned.

• Review orders submitted by pharmacy technicians or clerks for accuracy and appropriateness, if applicable.

• Participate in staff meetings and/or training sessions periodically in addition to regularly scheduled staffing obligations.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.

• A TN Pharmacist License is required.

• Vendor credentialing may be necessary.

• Must adhere to the rules and regulations established by the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Obtain all initial state licensure within the timeframe set by the Remote Pharmacy Services Director and maintain this licensure in good standing.

• Complete all required training and competencies promptly.

• Availability for a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, with shifts varying between 8 AM - 4:30 PM and 10 AM - 6:30 PM CST.
