This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Execute proactive outreach initiatives to healthcare providers regarding product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidelines.
• Engage with customers using virtual and digital tools, directing them to appropriate team members as necessary.
• Organize and facilitate speaker programs and local provider groups to share experiences and discuss outcomes.
• Ensure that customer requests are fulfilled while gathering feedback on the quality of engagement.
• Collaborate in compliance with the ecosystem team to refine targeting strategies and call point plans.
• Leverage customer insights to guide local strategy and align with business objectives.
• Elevate opportunities, feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead.
• Analyze territory, competitive data, business reports, sales figures, and promotional budget to pinpoint opportunities.
• Set near-term priorities for the territory and respond in compliance to competitive threats and opportunities.
• Educate office staff regarding payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Utilize approved promotional materials effectively.
• Apply market and industry knowledge to address objections and influence prescribing decisions.
• Identify professional groups and connect with potential key opinion leaders.
• Cultivate relationships with office and practice staff while focusing discussions on patient health.
• Provide accurate information and ensure follow-through to deliver added value to accounts.
• Conduct balanced office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and competitors to assist healthcare providers in improving patient outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least one qualifying experience path: 2+ years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; less experience may be accepted for employees completing the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• Alternatively, 3+ years of business-to-business or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement settings.
• Or 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience, such as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar, with direct patient interaction, medical education, or therapy-focused responsibilities.
• Knowledge of CNS is highly valued.
• Capability to communicate complex clinical information and influence various stakeholders.
• Ability to convert scientific data into clear, practical value propositions.
• Strong dedication to ethical business practices and a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
• Ability to conduct business activities in compliance with company policies and guidance.
• Proficiency in assimilating and conveying complex clinical and product information.
• Must live within a commutable distance of 50 miles from New Orleans.
• Travel is a requirement.
• Daily field travel by car is required.
