Pharmaceutical Research & Competitive Intelligence Virtual Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Monitor news alerts related to pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

• Review pertinent articles, updates from companies, earnings call information, and industry advancements.

• Audit alert outcomes for relevance and precision.

• Organize and preserve research findings.

• Highlight significant developments for the internal team.

• Assist with ongoing competitive intelligence research.

• Search and keep track of clinical trial databases.

• Evaluate trial statuses, development activities, and relevant updates.

• Maintain systematic records of active programs and trial information.

• Monitor developments across selected companies, products, or therapeutic areas.

• Elevate findings that necessitate deeper scientific or strategic examination.

• Operate within AlphaSense and GlobalData following client training.

• Manage searches, alerts, and pertinent research outputs.

• Utilize AI tools to summarize, organize, and expedite research.

• Implement effective prompting techniques in research workflows.

• Validate AI-generated outputs.

• Assist in the enhancement of research workflows.

• Provide defined services professionally according to established timelines, guidelines, and deliverables.

• Report to the designated point of contact, which will be determined.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in healthcare or a medical field is required.

• Research experience is necessary.

• A strong attention to detail is required.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.

• Familiarity with AI and prompting is strongly preferred.

• Experience in clinical trial research or clinical development is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical company is strongly preferred.

• Experience in regulatory or drug development is strongly preferred.

• Background in cancer biology, biomedical research, or related life sciences is strongly preferred.

• Pharmacy or pharmacist background is considered.

• Experience as a pharmaceutical or medical sales representative is considered.

• A healthcare background with substantial exposure to pharmaceutical development is considered.

• Experience with AlphaSense or GlobalData is a plus but not mandatory.

• Must be analytical and highly detail-oriented.

• Comfortable working with scientific and pharmaceutical data.

• Ability to independently execute from a pre-established research plan.

• Strong research and information review abilities.

• Quick adaptability to new databases.

• AI literate and interested in leveraging AI to enhance research.

• Capable of differentiating significant developments from irrelevant information.

• Organized and consistent in recurring monitoring tasks.

• Proficient with clinical trial search and research platforms.

• Proficient with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or others.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

• Availability for 20 contracted hours each week, Monday through Friday.

• Proficiency in English; Level A-C accent preference.

• Must operate under an independent contractor agreement / Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work.
