Personal Property Inventory Specialist – Temp

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate content damages and provide assessments related to the property insurance sector

• Conduct visits to post-loss sites to gather information for estimates and reporting

• Document personal property contents through information collection and photo journaling

• Deliver replacement cost and depreciated cash value assessments for both personal and commercial losses

• Identify and quantify damaged contents via site inspections

• Develop appraisal reports for replacement costs and depreciated values

• Analyze and organize data utilizing estimating software, databases, and proprietary tools

• Facilitate communication among all parties involved

• Determine costs, depreciation, and impacts of location pricing

• Examine final appraisal packages for precision and completeness prior to submission and recommendation

• Engage in and complete both internal and external training programs

• Undertake additional tasks as directed by the manager

• Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle for transportation related to company duties

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Capability to learn various electronic and manual estimating systems

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Excellent analytical abilities

• Strong communication skills

• Prior experience in customer service

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as mandated by the work environment

• Physically capable of conducting inspections and transporting inspection equipment

• Able to climb ladders to access elevated areas or roofs

• Must be able to document findings in reports following inspections

• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and for CAT response when necessary
