This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.
β’ Conduct research, prepare, submit, and monitor permits and approvals necessary for project execution.
β’ Collaborate with agencies, utility companies, vendors, clients, and internal teams.
β’ Accurately receive and input incoming work into both internal and client databases/software.
β’ Investigate permitting and approval prerequisites and compile data for requests to permit entities.
β’ Oversee the complete permit-acquisition process, including submission, review, amendments, approvals, and receipt.
β’ Provide real-time updates on the status of permits, approvals, and project documentation to ensure accuracy.
β’ Review, process, and monitor subcontractor invoices.
β’ Ensure the prompt processing of permit approval and issuance fees.
β’ Scan field notes and maps as required.
β’ Compile and enter information for daily, weekly, and on-demand reports.
β’ Accurately assign billable items to respective projects.
β’ Adhere to permit turnaround times and established service level agreements; communicate open approvals and potential risks to clients.
β’ Provide updates on projects and tasks to the Permitting Supervisor and Project Leadership.
β’ Mentor Permit Coordinators and contribute to team development.
β’ Uphold confidentiality and maintain ethical business standards.
β’ Complete additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of experience in right-of-way permitting or a related field.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in cable engineering support.
β’ Familiarity with GIS software such as QIS and ArcGIS.
β’ Practical knowledge in managing various types of permitting processes, including those based on production.
β’ Understanding of cable design principles and basic construction practices relevant to cable systems.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
β’ Capability to update and/or create PDF maps using Bluebeam, Nitro, or any PDF editor.
β’ Experience with Microsoft D365, Salesforce, O-Calc Pro, QuickBase, NJUNS, ALDEN, or AutoCAD.
β’ Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
β’ Effective verbal and written communication skills for professional customer interactions.
β’ Ability to multitask, manage interruptions, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
β’ Capacity to follow directions and work independently.
β’ Willingness to learn, adapt, and accept additional responsibilities.
β’ Must be responsible, self-driven, and capable of working effectively in a remote setting.
β’ Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, with flexibility for after-hours work when necessary.
