Permit Operations Lead – Bilingual, French/English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding permit status, timelines, and requirements

• Offer training, guidance, feedback, and direction to junior team members

• Supervise team members' work, conduct one-on-one meetings, and facilitate team development

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of the permit application process

• Investigate requirements, prepare necessary forms, collect documentation, and submit applications to the appropriate authorities

• Generate comprehensive reports on permit progress and provide consistent updates to customers and stakeholders

• Recognize and implement process enhancements and best practices

• Optimize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance operational efficiency

• Ensure all applications are thorough, accurate, and compliant with jurisdictional standards

• Actively monitor permit statuses and liaise with authorities to accelerate approval processes

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of pertinent experience in construction permitting, project management, or a related field

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French

• Residing in Ontario or willing to relocate there

• Experience with residential or commercial permitting in Quebec, including direct interaction with municipalities

• Strong comprehension of permitting processes, regulations, compliance standards, and jurisdictional variations

• Outstanding project management capabilities

• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills

• Capacity to manage customer relationships and collaborate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)

• Preferred leadership experience: 2+ years of leading, managing, and mentoring teams

• Background in customer success, customer experience, or sales

• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

• Legally authorized to work in Canada

• Must indicate whether employment visa sponsorship will be necessary
