People Systems, Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop integrations and workflows utilizing BigQuery, Google Cloud, Google Apps Script, and APIs for HR and hiring platforms.

• Implement Claude and Gemini into production workflows with established guardrails and human checkpoints for necessary judgement.

• Create configurable automation engines instead of isolated scripts.

• Oversee automation engines from start to finish.

• Collaborate with People & Culture process owners to transform existing procedures into viable solutions.

• Monitor and report on the hours and costs saved through automation efforts.

• Streamline administrative tasks while ensuring human judgement remains in the workflow.

• Operate within the Product & Tech division alongside a current engineer, reporting directly to the Head of People Technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in BigQuery and SQL; candidates will undergo testing early in the recruitment process.

• Advanced expertise in workflow automation, including multi-step scenarios, branching, data storage, error management, and webhooks.

• Hands-on experience deploying LLMs in production with structured outputs, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design principles.

• Ability to handle sensitive pay, performance, and candidate information with discretion, in compliance with GDPR.

• Conversational proficiency in English; English is the primary language used in the company.

• Capability to write functional code in JavaScript (Google Apps Script) and/or Python.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud, including Firebase and AI Studio.

• Experience in guiding non-technical teams through operational changes.

• Must be located in the country/region where the position is advertised.
