This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee HRIS and related systems
• Manage benefits for US, Canadian, and international employees, including open enrollment, carrier and broker escalations, HSA and FSA, COBRA, 401(k), and required annual notifications
• Take ownership of the employee handbook, HR wiki, and people policies, and develop any missing policies
• Oversee the complete onboarding process, including cohort logistics, new hire documentation, and the initial 90-day experience
• Manage offboarding processes, exit interviews, and severance logistics
• Act as the primary HR point of contact for the company; receive reports, conduct investigations, document findings, and establish intake, trust, and escalation processes
• Execute the biannual HR cycle, which includes performance check-ins, compensation reviews, and employee engagement surveys
• Address off-cycle compensation adjustments, promotions, relocations, and international transfers, including compensation effects
• Collaborate with recruiting on international employment structures such as EOR and contractor arrangements
• Manage the immigration program, covering O-1, L-1A, H-1B, and PERM issues, outside counsel timelines, renewals, expirations, and I-9 compliance and verification
• A minimum of 5 years in people operations, HR, or a people partner role, with experience at a company lacking a large HR team
• Proven experience in independently conducting workplace investigations, including harassment cases, and drafting defensible documentation
• Extensive experience in administering US benefits and leave; global benefits experience is advantageous
• Strong proficiency with HRIS; experience with Rippling is preferred
• Direct, hands-on experience with employment-based immigration processes: H-1B, O-1, L-1, and PERM
• Experience managing performance and compensation cycles for more than 100 employees
• Excellent judgment in unprecedented situations with the capability to document rationale
• Ability to uphold strict confidentiality
• Proactive mindset for developing processes and tracking systems
