This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take charge of the daily HR operations at Bamboo Nine.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR and personnel-related issues.
• Ensure that HR policies, procedures, and documentation align with UK employment laws and best HR practices.
• Manage employee relations matters, including absence management, performance issues, capability assessments, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
• Oversee the onboarding, probation, and offboarding processes.
• Maintain precise employee records and manage the Bamboo HR system.
• Enhance the annual review and performance management processes.
• Assist with salary reviews, promotions, and discussions about career progression.
• Lead the recruitment process from the initial brief to the job offer.
• Develop role specifications and oversee job advertisements and recruitment channels.
• Source candidates, review applications, and conduct initial interviews.
• Coordinate interviews and manage job offers, references, and pre-employment checks.
• Track recruitment performance and bolster the employer brand and talent pipeline.
• Coach managers on feedback delivery, handling difficult conversations, and team development.
• Develop career progression and pathways for employees.
• Identify training and development needs, supporting succession and workforce planning.
• Monitor employee turnover, conduct exit interviews, and enhance retention strategies.
• Assist with engagement initiatives and surveys, employee wellbeing, and sustainable workload management.
• Advocate for an inclusive, supportive, and high-performance workplace culture.
• Provide leadership with insights on people metrics and KPIs, identify trends and risks, and propose actionable solutions.
• CIPD qualification level 7 is essential.
• Extensive generalist HR experience, preferably within an SME or a growing business.
• Proven experience in independently managing a diverse HR function.
• Background in developing and executing HR strategies.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Hands-on experience in recruitment across the entire recruitment lifecycle.
• Experience in managing employee relations and performance-related issues.
• Confidence in advising and challenging managers at all levels.
• Familiarity with performance management, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Confidence in presenting to the company and during senior leadership team meetings.
• Experience in planning and managing HR budgets effectively.
• A pragmatic approach, comfortable transitioning between strategic discussions and hands-on execution.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of people decisions on overall business performance.
• Experience in a digital agency, marketing agency, or other fast-paced professional services environment is advantageous but not required.
• Flexible part-time structure: 2–3 days per week.
