This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research on market compensation, pinpoint comparable roles, document sources and assumptions, and create salary comparisons along with draft recommendations.
• Collect and analyze benefits information while assisting with inquiries related to benefits and communications.
• Create role descriptions that outline responsibilities, qualifications, reporting structures, and success metrics.
• Draft and update employee handbooks and policy documents, organize client feedback, maintain version control, and facilitate implementation.
• Develop materials for career progression, employee development plans, and resources for managers.
• Create performance review forms and resources for managers, supporting the review processes.
• Address client HR inquiries and provide practical responses or suggest next steps.
• Assist with routine employee relations issues and escalate sensitive or complex matters as needed.
• Create reusable HR templates, tools, checklists, and processes; utilize AI judiciously while ensuring confidentiality.
• Prepare onboarding, offboarding, and employee communication materials.
• Maintain action plans, meeting notes, deadlines, and deliverables; coordinate efforts with clients and team members.
• Offer recruiting support through sourcing, résumé evaluations, screening, interview coordination, candidate communications, and applicant tracking.
• Gradually support smaller fractional HR engagements, including client meetings, HR action plans, deliverables, and follow-ups.
• Operate under the guidance and coaching of the Head of People and Culture, with a growing level of independence.
• 3–5 years of HR experience with practical knowledge in compensation, benefits, employee policies and handbooks, performance management, employee relations, and recruitment.
• A consulting mindset with the ability to juggle multiple clients at once.
• Strong judgment and discernment skills.
• Excellent relationship-building abilities.
• Business acumen with an understanding of how personnel decisions relate to organizational structure, capacity, growth, leadership, and overall business performance.
• Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and problem-solving.
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Initiative and self-management capabilities.
• Ability to accept feedback and direction positively and a willingness to continue learning.
• Discretion when handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience in utilizing AI tools for thinking, research, drafting, presentations, recommendations, templates, and enhancing efficiency.
• Enthusiasm, adaptability, curiosity, and a genuine interest in people.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce; supporting small businesses, professional services organizations, or financial advisory practices; and engaging directly with business owners or leaders in an advisory or consultative role.
• HR certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
