This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate pension plan provisions and ensure that calculations comply with relevant Canadian regulations and legislation.
• Engage in configuring a partner's pension plan administration system tailored to client-specific plan characteristics.
• Analyze documentation pertaining to parameter configuration.
• Assist system developers in setting up new features.
• Create the testing strategy for benefit calculations, assess test scenarios, perform regression testing, and analyze test results.
• Enhance calculation tools and internal processes.
• Contribute to organizational projects that require expertise in pension plan administration.
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or actuarial mathematics.
• At least 7 years of experience in a similar position.
• In-depth knowledge of pension plans in Canada and the associated legal framework.
• Skill in analyzing complex information related to pension plans.
• Proficient communication skills in French and strong communication skills in English; the majority of tasks will be conducted in English.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Excel or SQL programming languages will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with computer tools, including process modeling tools and tracking systems, will be regarded as a benefit.
• Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with various stakeholders.
• Proven ability in effective time management, including meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks and deliverables.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with clients, managers, and senior management.
• Outstanding analytical abilities.
• Keen attention to detail, precision, and rigor.
